Air Force Special Warfare FTX Weekend

Virginia Military Institute hosted an Air Force Special Warfare FTX from April 19 to 20.

Overall, 36 individuals took part with other AFROTC detachments participating in the weekend events.

The morning started with a fitness test consisting of pushups, sit-ups, and a swim followed by a ruck march. Later, there was a brief detailing the pipelines of Air Force Special Warfare career fields (combat control, pararescue, special reconnaissance, and tactical air control party).

Other events included: calisthenics, water confidence, bobbing, missions, obstacle course, ruck packing instruction, and team equipment haul challenge.

Detachment 880 has been selected two years in a row to host this event and will seek to host it again in 2025.
